There seems to be a growing trend in the fashion industry for non-binary outfits, and some popstars are in on the movement. Late last year, Harry Styles put out a video for 'Lights Up' in which he wears a blue silk moire suit designed by long-time collaborator Harris Reed, while Rihanna posted a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt by London-based fashion label Art School. Both designers are proud LGBT designers.

At this year's New York Fashion Week, a model by the name Juno Mitchell made news when ze walked the runway along with Miley Cyrus. The 23-year-old walked in several high-profile shows, including Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer 20 event, and seemed to be very impressed with Miley Cyrus's aura and attitude. Juno was also impressed by Marc Jacobs, the 56-year-old designer whom he says was very welcoming and went out of his way to make hir feel accepted and made hir modelling experience a pleasant one.

Whilst discussing the fashion month, Juno said: "I didn’t know until an hour before the show that Miley and I were walking together, It was so refreshing to see her accept me for who I am as well… she never gave me the impression that I was “different” and reminded me that we were all included that night. Miley and I talked backstage, we got to know each other a little bit - it was a lot of small talk at first, but then she told me that she was there with me and for me, as I was intimidated in the beginning."

Jacobs, who is known to push gender norms or stereotypes with his fashion, assured the 23-year old that ze would not be made to wear anything that would make hir feel emotional discomfort.
