Freediver braves the chill to swim in frozen Czech lake

A daredevil diver left his tank behind and attempted to swim in a lake under crazy conditions.

You know when you watch someone doing magic tricks, like the Houdini escape tricks when a person is submerged in a tank of water and they have to escape within a certain amount of time? Well, this guy has taken that to the extreme!

I’m not sure about you, but I always hold my breath to see how long I’d be able to stay submerged for. I still bomb out, though. When you watch this video, you’ll find yourself doing the same thing.
According to the New York Post, a freediver has taken a swim under a thick layer of ice at Lake Milada in the Czech Republic.
The footage, which people are calling "crazy" and a recipe for hypothermia, shows the 54-year-old effortlessly swimming without oxygen tanks just inches below the crystal clear ice.
