Exciting new emoji changes

Apple is going to replace the pistol emoji with a green water gun in the iOS upgrade.

And that’s not the only emoji change that will be happening. They’ll be introducing emojis of women doing typically male jobs, female athletes, a pride flag, and family options for single parents.

It seems a minor change, but the pistol and other weapon emojis have landed people in trouble with the law. One of these was a 12-year-old boy who was charged after allegedly threatening her school in an Instagram post that used a knife and bomb emoji.

I like the gun emoji, it amplifies captions. For example, when you post your OOTD, and you’re a fashion killa (like the ASAP Rocky song) the gun and the bomb add to the boom boom pow pow, and, well, with a water gun, that could just turn into squirt squirt. LOL.

As for the Pride flag, it’s about time!
