Donations flood in for Aryan Benevolent Home
Updated | By Damon Beard
After the home was robbed of absolutely everything, business owners from all over KZN have come together to help and get them back on their feet.
Nirode Bramdaw is on the board of directors for the Aryan Benevolent Home, which is a registered non-profit organisation which takes care of children, the elderly, and physically or mentally disabled people who have no one else to provide for their needs. They do this regardless of race or religion.
At 11pm on 30 September, the home was held up by six armed robbers who took one of the home's vehicles, assaulted and tied up the guards, and then did three trips off site making off with most of the home's supplies before the tracker kicked in and the vehicle stalled.
When Warren Farrer, The Group CSI Executive of RCL Foods (031-2428517, [email protected]), heard of the home's plight, he knew he and his colleagues had to hop on board and help.
RCL Foods have donated a ton of Selati Sugar, 100 litres of Nola Oil, and one ton of Supreme flour.
This donation is in excess of R20,000.
