Diver who escaped shark cage attack speaks out

You’ll remember last week I posted that insane video of the guy who went shark cage diving?

My biggest fear is that the shark somehow gets into the cage.

And, of course, my worst nightmare ended up playing out in front of my eyes!

The video shows the most terrifying moment when a massive shark slams into a shark-diving cage and ends up inside with the diver!

Following on from that, the diver who was inside the cage has spoken out.

He was on a tour checking out great white shark habitats and it was his turn to be inside the cage when a juvenile great white leaped for a piece of tuna and mid-leap, slammed against the bars of the cage, entering the cage and thrashing around, while Mr Chan was trapped inside.

He said he didn’t have time to take pictures of the encounter as he couldn’t see what was happening.

It seems he also wasn’t afraid being in the cage with the shark.

“Honestly at that moment I didn’t have time to get afraid,” he said. “I felt so lucky, why would I be scared?” he added.

What a hero!
