I think that parents who remain friends after a break-up are few and far between, as there are always complications. Things like visitation rights if you have kids and how much maintenance you need to pay are stumbling blocks many can't overcome.

However, this divorced dad has explained on social media why he is still friends with his ex.

After being asked why he does this, he said that he wants to set an example for his sons.

"The example I set for how I treat their mum is going to significantly shape how they see and treat women and affect their perception of relationships."
