His parents had urged judges to intervene and allow them to take their terminally ill son to America for experimental treatment.

His parents have raised more than £1 million to take him to the US, but courts in Britain ruled he should be allowed to die as the treatment will not help him.

Now the European Court of Human Rights has rejected a plea for them to intervene.
