Blesserfinder: A Facebook group that finds you a sugar daddy

Social media has become such a resourceful place. It is no longer used only for you to share pictures of your new pug with your relatives in Lagos and reconnect with your preschool teacher, but now people use social media for an array of things, like finding employment, finding love, and well…finding a blesser.

Yep, you read right, you can now find yourself a blesser on social media with the help of  group called “Blesserfinder”.

A blesser is typically an older, rich benefactor who spoils his fine young thing in exchange for sex. 

The name blesser started on social media when unemployed girls would be on Instagram posting pics of their trips to exotic locations, and their expensive clothes and drinks with the #Blessed #HighlyFavoured.

So now back to the group. Yesterday, I was on my Facebook and I got an invite to the group Blesserfinder.

The group promises that they will set you up with a blesser in your area and put an end to all your financial woes.

As much as we can judge girls for looking for blessers, I think it points to a deeper problem in our country. 

Girls are choosing to forget morality, and rather sleep their way to very lavish lives that they can’t afford. 

I have often heard (from blessed girls) “Well Zaba, you’re going to sleep with someone anyway, why not sleep with someone who’ll buy you Louboutin’s and take you to Dubai?”

If you choose to get a blesser, do you boo! Zaba says get yours bae!
