Where is the strangest place you’ve left something behind?

Car keys, cellphone, wallet, and keys in general, they seem to get lost at the most inopportune moments.
I recently lost my wallet; well let's just say it has disappeared without a trace! It's the strangest thing as it seems to have evaporated into thin air.

As one would expect, I had a total meltdown, losing all my bank cards, medical aid card, and horror of all horrors - my ID card!
I went from, 'oh my word, how am I going to pay for things' to 'oh, I feel quite liberated' - although that didn't last too long. The thought of visiting the Home Affairs office terrifies me. Silly, I know.
Anyway, while tracing my steps back, I went to the bottle store I had been to on the Friday afternoon - as you do, and low and behold in their office I found a stack of lost credit cards and more than a handful of driver's licenses. I couldn't believe my eyes! Why hadn't folks traced their steps and connected themselves to their most valuable possessions?

I would consider this the strangest place to have lost something and gauging by what I found in the bottle store's office, I am not alone here. Comment below and let me know where the strangest place you’ve left something was.
