Those childhood treasures that you can't seem to let go of

As we grow up and make the transition into adulthood, there are some treasures which stick with us. Jane decided to reflect on one that's near and dear to her.

If you know me, you would know that I'm all about those treasures that no amount of money can buy.
I only have one possession from my childhood that springs to mind, and that is a red toy platypus I have had since I was 10. It's a sensory toy, bright red, soft with a white bill and feet. I slept with that toy for years and years, and now my kids have added it to their collection.

My mom has a button that she has had since she was a kid - we're talking something like 50 years, that she keeps in a porcelain piggy bank. She recently gave me one, and so the button tradition carries on.
