Survey: Employees want physical contact banned in the workplace
Updated | By Stacey Norman
"I'm the hugger in the workplace, but it seems that not everyone is like me," says Stacey.
In the office, I am known as the hugger. There's something about a warm embrace from a known colleague which is enough to get you through even the toughest of days.
Well, it seems that not everyone thinks the same as I do. Metro has reported that three out of four people want a ban on physical contact at work. It was also revealed that one in three of the respondents experienced an 'awkward' greeting - I don't even want to know what that entails!

"One in four of 2,000 adults questioned by jobs site Totaljobs said they had avoided a colleague or client because of the way they greeted people. two out of five said they found greetings awkward a third of workers said their well-being had been affected by an awkward greeting, such an unexpected kiss or hug, or even an unwanted chest hug," it was reported.

For me, I think it depends on the relationship you have with your co-worker. I wouldn't say you should start hugging your CEO, but if you guys have an understanding, then why should it even be a topic of conversation?
How about you? Do you want a total ban on physical contact in the workplace or do you think that's too extreme? Let me know below.
