This song captures the truth about parenting
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
This song, called “Slow Down”, has been pulling on parents’
heartstrings this week. And it’s no big surprise why.
I am so aware that day by day my kids need me a little less.
The words 'before I knew it you were trying to free your fingers from my hand, cause you could do it on your own' reduced me to a little sob.
I have moments of sheer panic as I think about my kids growing up and becoming independent little trail blazers. I love being a mom more than anything, it's hands down my life's greatest work and achievement.
So I dedicate this song to all moms (parents) whose daily loving care, fend and guide their little people.
The words and images in this make tears stream down my cheeks.
Such love, always X
