The Royal proposal was something out of a movie and had the world moved
There's nothing like a heart-warming story of how people pop the question, especially if you're married - the memories just flow in.
Last night I sat glued to the box as Prince Harry and his soon-to-be-wife Meghan Markle did a press interview talking about their engagement. They are the perfect match, they get lost in each other's eyes. It is the most wonderful love to see.

I love how 'normal' they are and the fact that Prince Harry got on one knee at home, just the two of them, while they were making a roast chicken for dinner.
If I think back to how Mr T asked me to be his wife, I, like Meghan, did not see it coming. If I could have seen into the future, I can assure you a black vest, bohemian skirt with bells on it, and a pair of mismatched sneaks complete with a tuna and red onion salad for dinner wouldn't have been the route I would have gone for, for the big question!

A throwback to 2006 - I was doing the 6pm-9pm show and unbeknownst to me Mr T had met my parents earlier in the day and asked them for their permission, bought the ring, and made handcrafted signs saying 'will you marry me'.
Before I left for work, Mr T followed me around the house asking what I was wearing to work. At the time, I thought nothing of it, yet afterwards the out-of-sorts question made sense.

Off I went and at 8pm, as per every night, I phoned home and it was during that phone call that Mr T arrived flanked by a few of our very best friends and stood outside the studio and held up the pink and white polystyrene sign.
I squealed into the phone 'Mom, Michael just asked me to marry him' and her reply was 'I know he asked us earlier today'. I nearly died! To add to that family around the country were watching the moment on the webcams.

I was in shock, he came into the studio with roses, Champagne and a gorgeous ring with the inscription 'remember me always'.
What an incredible moment.
