Avocado season is in full swing in South Africa and is probably adorning the plates of hundreds of “avo lovers” across the country this very minute.
The only thing stopping you from eating the nutritious fruit on a slice of hot toast is the fact that it is rock hard.
Rock hard avocados equal a major roadblock on the road to enjoying its tasty goodness.
But don’t worry, this neat trick will get your avocados ripe in no time.
Here’s what you need to do.
Step one: Pre-heat your oven to about 90 degrees celcius.
Step two: Wrap your avocado in some tin foil
Step three: Place your avo on a tray (lined with baking paper)
Step four: Wait 10 minutes
And voilà, ripe avocados in 10 minutes! Place your avocado in the fridge to cool down, and then it is ready for the party in your mouth.
