The massive back tattoo was first spotted last year while Ben was pictured in a gaping hospital gown on the set of his film Live By Nights. 

Ben's extensive body art is a colourful phoenix - a mythological bird symbolizing rebirth and rising from the ashes.

Both his exes agree that Ben's tattoo is 'awful'

Jennifer Lopez had this to say on Andy Cohen's show:

“It’s awful! But I would tell him that!” she teases. “It has too many colors. They shouldn’t be so colorful. They should be cooler.”
