'Barney is a dinosaur from our imagination, and when he's tall, he's what we call a dinosaur sensation'. If you're a parent or grew up in 90s, then you probably have these lyrics etched into your memory by now?

A big part of the last six years has had either Dora or Barney in the background of our home. If there was a game show to win millions by answering trivia facts about either, I would be a multimillionaire, hands down.

This past week, Business Insider revealed the man behind the Barney suit. David Joyner, who worked as a software analyst, landed the position and remained as the face behind the suit for over 10 years. 

When I saw this tweet, I couldn't help but click quickly to see the face behind His Purpleness.

What seems like an easy role to play is actually pretty intricate and takes skill in order to sync with the guy who is doing the voice.

During this video, he even spoke out about putting a little fan inside the mouth of the hot costume to cool it down between takes.
