Man nearly loses an arm while petting a caged lion
Don't pet the lion - ever! A man is lucky to be alive after being mauled by a caged lion while he was trying to pet it.
A 55-year-old man learned the hard way about why you should NEVER attempt to pet a lion, and also to follow warning signs.
It is reported that the man took his wife to celebrate their wedding anniversary up in the Free State when the terrifying incident occurred. In a video that appeared on social media, the man who attempted to pet a lion through a cage, nearly got his hand bitten off in the process.

In the beginning, he strokes the male lion's head. Everything is fine until the lioness arrives. As he starts petting her, she grabs him and chews his arm. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
All we have to say is that when you're around wild animals, keep your hands to yourself.
