MacGyver series set for reboot

Big news I'd say. MacGyver, the secret agent who could problem solve his way out of life threatening situations with his crafty workmanship and faithful Swiss Army Knife is making a return to our television screens!

 

I was only 6 years old when Richard Dean Anderson burst into my little life.

 

I always remember it was what I used to watch when my mom and dad went out for dinner.

 

 It was such a treat as I got to watch it in their bed, and as we know when you’re still young there is no place like your mom and dad’s bed.

 

Some big names are behind the reboot such as the original executive producer of MacGyver, Henry Winkler and NCIS:LA screenwriter R. Scott Gemmill as well as Saw’s executive producer, James Wan.

 

The CBS network is keeping quiet on details at this stage but sources have said that the pilot for the reboot is in the works.

 

I am not a huge fan of remakes as I don't believe you cake reheat the cake so to speak, and I am sure the new show will now be scrutinized very closely.  

 

The show will go on regardless, all I can say is I hope the theme track stays the same- nostalgia 101!

 

If you were sitting in the casting seat who would you cast as Macagyver? How about Channing Tatum? ;)
