#KnysnaFire unites South Africans
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Once again, I've been so inspired by the love of KwaZulu-Natalians and South Africans as a whole, in the wake of the devastating Knysna fires these past few days.

My Facebook page has just been flooded with messages of support and concern from people from all over the province, and the world really, who've asked how they can get involved and be part of relief efforts.

Thank you KZN - thank you South Africa for caring at this time of need.
Yesterday was a tough day for me to be onair as I learnt in the early hours of the morning that my aunt and uncle's home had been completely gutted. Listen to the podcast below for more.
There are numerous ways to assist. You just have to google 'relief efforts for Knysna fire' to see who's helping where. NGO The Gift of the Givers is one local organisation that's involved; DHL Express is offering free delivery of relief items (drop-offs in Durban, Richards Bay and Newcastle, among other places); you can donate R25.00 to the NSPCA by SMS'ing Care to 38018 (this will also help animals affected by the Cape fires) - and the list goes on.
Please share how you're helping in the comments below. Let's do what we can.
