Kim Kardashian and the price of fame
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Find out why a bodyguard is glad Kim Kardashian’s security team was MIA during her robbery.

Kim Kardashian’s former bodyguard says he is happy security was not present when armed robbers stormed the reality star’s hotel room in Paris.
Steve Stanulis, who believes the robbery was an inside job, told US media this week that it is a good thing her current bodyguard Pascal Duvier was MIA because he is apparently not usually armed.
“… It might have been a blessing that he wasn’t there, because if he tried to get overly macho… maybe something worse would have happened. Maybe there would have been gunshots…,” he told KIIS 1065.
Kim’s robbery ordeal has left many people around the world shocked. Other A-list stars like model Gigi Hadid, who was attacked by a prankster in Paris, have stepped up their security.
Fame is such a double-edged sword. On one hand, the lifestyle is opulent and lavish, but on the other, you are hounded and criticised, it's hard to know what's real and what's not.
What I mean by that is to know if people love you for being you or for what you can bring to the table.
KK must be so rattled at the thought that someone in her camp could have orchestrated an inside job.
I mean, this is her safe haven where she can be herself, yet who can she trust?
No amount of material trappings and fame could be as precious as living a real and honest existence. Everything comes at a price, right?
