His wife, April, had to undergo an emergency c-section due to complications and was unable to breastfeed the baby soon after that. Maxamillian then volunteered to try the supplemental nursing method, as suggested by a nurse.
The breastfeeding device, which uses a fake nipple shield, a feeding tube, a syringe, and some formula to help the nursing process.
The device has been around for use with adoptive moms, moms whose babies require additional supplementation, or for moms who have flat or inverted nipples. This feature has been offered to other men, but Maxamilian was the first to stand up to the challenge, calling the device a 'moob' (man boob).

April's birthing plan included an immediate skin to skin breastfeeding, but it did not work out because of the complications. This was the reason the husband decided he needed to fulfill his wife's wishes.
The post was shared 30,000 times and the family received love and support, but some people were just not having it.
