Have you ever lied about your age?

Why are people so obsessed with lying about their age? I don't see what the big fuss is about here. 

The only time I have ever lied about my age was when I attempted getting into a nightclub. I can't really remember the exact day, but it was with a group of girls. We were being silly and tried to get in a club to see what it's about. Needless to say, I got bounced and it was an awkward experience. I had to hang my head in shame.

To be honest, from one year to the next, I am never quite sure how old I am. No, I'm serious! I have even taken to my ID book in the past to get the answer.

According to Psychology Today, a psychologist has said that men choose to lie about their age to impress others, and women do it to prevent them from hurting anyone's feelings.

For me honestly, as the song goes 'Age Ain't Nothing But A Number', and I live by this saying. In saying that though, most of the time, people are floored that I am 38-years-old and I'm not sure why. What is a 38-year-old meant to resemble?

Ladies, in particular, don't like to talk about their age. It has something to do with looking youthful I guess. I say if you are going to lie about your age, at least make it a bit realistic. I'm hardly going to say that I look 16. Ha!
