Originally from Phoenix, Durban, she counts among her career highlights interviews and encounters with former South African Presidents Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma, and queen of talk Oprah Winfrey. She was a senior eNCA anchor for 11 years, but Rappetti left the broadcaster in April 2017 to take up a weekday radio show on Power FM.
Her book takes you on a journey from childhood into her adulthood, with funny and emotional stories. It's the kind of book that will have you laughing and relating to the Durban life and then will bring you to tears.
She will have you pumped and have you wanting to aim higher. Female power all the way!
I am a huge fan of Iman, so getting the opportunity to sit down with her and just have a chat was beyond amazing. We spoke about family, religion, and how we both just want to spread more love in the world - and I honestly left there feeling more moved and as if I found my soul sister!
Reading the book afforded me the opportunity to get to know her better, the personal accounts made me feel like I was walking side-by-side with her. She proves that everything that's happened is a part of life and all you can do is grow from it.
Shine on, Iman. Shine on!
