Football team wears suits to stand up for bullied friend
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Although this video was originally posted more than three years ago, the message is timeless! “Treat others how you want to be treated.”
Danny Keefe is a six-year-old optimist with a speech disorder. And he doesn't care what other people think. In fact, this spunky kindergartner wears a suit, tie, and fedora to school every day.
He's also the waterboy for the Bridgewater Badgers, a pee wee football team comprised of a band of boys who have rallied around Danny in the hopes to make his life better.
My heart could have popped steam watching this video. The pride and love I felt towards these supportive, caring and empathetic young boys, I can't imagine what their parents must feel!
It must be so difficult to parent a child who has difficulties and furthermore to know he is being bullied for it at school.
These boys showed such heart and maturity and my wish is that more boys stood up and supported as opposed to tear down.
