Durban man 'rows his boat' in his backyard thanks to heavy KZN rains

A listener sent us an hilarious picture of a man making the most of the heavy rains that have gripped the province.
The South African Weather Service released a warning on Sunday that locals in KZN should brace themselves for heavy rains and thunderstorms over the next few days.
Following the news, social media was 'flooded' (mind the pun) with pictures and videos showing the heavy rain and hailstones.

There was one particular photo sent in which left us asking many questions.
The photo was sent in by Amazimtoti resident Bryan Perkin showing a man, allegedly from Widenham down in Umkomaas, in a boat trying to row his way across his flooded backyard.
The pic was apparently sent to him from his mother. We called his mom to find out more.
She told us that she received the picture from her retirement village WhatsApp group. She added that she did not know the man's name in question, but his 'rowing' did give everyone the giggles.
Either way, this picture is a classic example of 'Only in South Africa'.
