DIY Fails: We want to hear your stories

That moment you find the perfect DIY project, you try it out, but the result is nothing like you envisioned... what a fail!

Every now and again it's great to try out new activities and to create something with your own hands. That's why cooking and home improvement shows are such hits.

However, I always wonder why it looks like three simple steps on screen but when I get down to it, I basically need my entire kitchen and then some to get one thing done.  

This is something that all parents can relate to, 'baker, baker' day. The day where a child is assigned to bring in some baked goods for their class. You would think it would be easier to go down to your nearest store and get exactly what you need, but the movie 'Bad Moms' put it perfectly, as parents we do not want to look like we did not try hard enough. 

After all, there are those parents that bring in pieces of art and you just think, really now?! I've said this to you once before, I'm really not a fan of kitchen duties! That's putting it lightly. However, I decided to take on the challenge and get into baking.

I found a recipe that called for a few ingredients and not much in the way of physical labour, and though the end product was edible, I don't think my presentation skills were close to the intended appearance.

Not close, as you can see, but I could not help but feel a little proud. I did it... silent applause for myself. 

I don't like looking for bad news or seeing people do something poorly, but I figured that I could not be alone here. This is why I love the internet. Here are some 'fails' that I came across and boy are these funny and interesting, all at once:

I guess you can see where I'm going with this, not everything can turn out as perfect as we would like.
