Confessions of a radio listener: I should have listened to my parents...
Updated | By ECR
Stacey Norman asked KZN to let her in on the things they wish they took on board from their parents, but for some reason they did not bother to listen to.
As kids, we always knew better than our parents, right? Well, most of the time you would find out the hard way that they were right. Parents do know better after all.
As you get older, you just want to go back to them and say they were right, but you not ready for the "I told you so" lecture. A lot of callers called in with stories filled with regrets. Let's just say that Monday's show became a safe space for listeners to share their stories of not listening to their parents. Stacey even suggested that we might need a support group for this one.
One listener said she wished she listened to her parents when they told her not to get married, while another listener said he feels he should have listened to his parents when they told him to study engineering.
