Blushing for the Prez
The president had a hard time with numbers again, but he is not the first.
Despite almost contradicting comments from party leaders on membership numbers over the weekend, President Zuma didn't make things much better in his closing speech.
Speaking at the governing party's National General Council where thousands of delegates gathered to review policies, Zuma decried the decline of ANC membership which he's estimated has decreased by about 20 percent.
I squirmed as I watched him fumbled the numbers time after time even after getting assistance from the crowd, still not getting it right, even amongst an awkward shuffle.
A tiny part of empathy moves through me as I have been in the situation of publicly stuffing up, and it's not pretty, granted I'm not the Prez.
