When nothing can stop love! Couple gets married through window as bride had COVID-19

The California couple didn't let a simple COVID-19 diagnosis and pandemic stop them from saying "I do" and celebrating one of the best days of their lives safely.

The coronavirus pandemic has certainly turned everyone's plans upside down, especially this couple, Patrick Delgado and Lauren Jimenez, but that didn't stop them from continuing with what they had in mind - which was to spend the rest of their lives together.

After everything was planned, Lauren tested positive for COVID-19 days before they were set to walk down the aisle. How awful!

Despite the horrible and unexpected setback, the couple made it work, and tied the knot in a very special ceremony that allowed Lauren to say “I do” while still managing to remain isolated from the rest of the party.

The couple was cautious in the lead up to the ceremony, making sure that they always wore their masks everywhere they went, so when the news came out that Lauren was positive for COVID-19, it took a massive toll on her.

This put the couple in a pickle because the couple's marriage licence was set to expire on their wedding day, and the county clerk’s office was closed, meaning they had no idea when they’d be able to get married if not that day.

Jessica Jackson, who photographed the wedding, explained on Facebook:

But because a plan can always be made, they continued, with Lauren staying on the second floor of her parents’ home in Ontario during the ceremony, and Patrick on the ground below.

With the window open, they each held one end of a 30-foot ribbon that featured flowers made by Lauren’s aunt to symbolise “unity, love and physical touch” as they said “I do”.

This couple is really living out the 'through sickness and in health' vow.

But we are so happy for them that through all the hardship, they were still able to tie the knot.
