WATCH: Surfers rescue elderly man from being swept away by current

In a terrifying moment for both the elderly man and onlookers, a surging current almost engulfed a beachgoer at Dee Why Lagoon in Sydney, Australia.
This footage was captured by drone photographer Simon Peters.

Surfers spoke to Australian media about the incident.
Everything happened super quick, we just got a wash out, we tried to keep his head up,- Local surfers
Thankfully, he was saved by the surfers.

Earlier this week in South Africa, we watched an incredible video of fishermen coming to the rescue as sharks got caught in the fishing nets.
