WATCH: Surfers rescue elderly man from being swept away by current

In a terrifying moment for both the elderly man and onlookers, a surging current almost engulfed a beachgoer at Dee Why Lagoon in Sydney, Australia.

Surfers spoke to Australian media about the incident.
Everything happened super quick, we just got a wash out, we tried to keep his head up,
Thankfully, he was saved by the surfers.
