They say if you love something set it free. If it comes back it's yours. If it doesn't, it was never meant to be.

What is that supposed to teach us? That you can't force something to work if it just doesn't.

While most of us would accept a failing relationship for what it is, exactly that, probably end it and try to move on, some people have difficulties with letting go.

When J Sbu saw the story of this Ukrainian couple whom agreed to take part in a filmed social experiment that would have them handcuffed to one another for an extended period of time, he just had to share it with his work wife Stacey.

In true J Sbu style, he accompanied the link to the story sent to Stacey via WhatsApp with the caption: "You game 😂 ?"

No word as to what Stacey's response was.

Right, back to the story! Alexandr Kudlay and Viktoria Pustovitova announced to their considerable social media followers that they had decided to call it quits. This after the social experiment in their words had "brought home some uncomfortable truths".

How and why did this experiment even begin?

Well, Alexandr and Viktoria had been involved in an on and off relationship for several years that had become toxic. It seemed that the two enjoyed being together as much as they enjoyed breaking up with one another.

In a last ditch effort to save their relationship, the two decided on this social media experiment, the couple did almost everything handcuffed to one another.

They did have their limits and they took turns to use the bathroom and take showers.

The less keen partner in crime, Viktoria, who was not excited about the prospect of being handcuffed to her partner, tearfully shared this post break-up:

She further shared that it was personal space, ironically, so because even though they were both handcuffed together, she still felt that her boyfriend did not pay enough attention to her.

Wait, what?

What was the experience of Alexandr?

He shared with Reuters that he had no regrets about the experiment, as it helped him understand why his and Viktoria's relationship would ultimately never work out.

In case you were interested in purchasing the now iconic handcuffs that Alexandr and Viktoria used, well you can take part in the online auction. They plan to sell them as the now exes plan to donate part of the money to charity.
