South Africa is known for many things and one of them is the cable cars that manoeuvre through the golden sunsets of Cape Town. 

With technology moving at an exponential rate, it's hard to keep up with what's new. 

Many South Africans are banding together to petition for this emoji to be moved higher in our panel of emojis.

"Let's move the emoji to the top," says one SAFFA. 

Did you know there is a mountain cableway emoji 🚠? It was only added to the emoji database in the last ten years or so and it ranks at 818.

Paired with the desire to move the emoji "to the top", South Africans have another crazy idea. 

"What if we work together to not only remove the cableway emoji from the bottom of the list but actually own it as one of our own?"
