Axel mentions in his series of videos that he rents a 95-square-foot apartment in New York City for $1,200 (R18,000) a month.
"Whatever your expectations are, lower them" is what Axel says at the beginning of his video.

He makes the best of his tiny home.
He said that his space doesn't have an actual stove, a private bathroom, or many building amenities. He shares a bathroom with several people on his floor and has a standard diet of peanut butter and cereal that he buys from a lovely lady down the street.
