Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
Love is in the air!
It's that time of year again... the season of love.
For some grinches, a lot of gifts, actions, and traditions that come with Valentine's Day can be super clichè.
However, there are some things that we just love. Clichè? We beg to differ!
1. Roses
These overpriced bundles of love make Valentine's Day what it is. Without roses, is Valentine’s Day even Valentine's Day?
Roses are classic and we believe it is a gift that will melt or mend hearts until the end of time.

2. Wearing red
Taking us back to our school days when we were forced to wear red, pink, and white on this special day, we see this happening every Valentine's Day.

Don't feel basic for rocking the classic colour. We think it's very on brand.
3. Celebrating on a Monday
Life can get boring, we are very fortunate that this V-day fell on a Monday. It means that we get to celebrate with loved ones and "spice up our life".
Very rarely are days like this on a Monday where mass media, restaurants, and event planners have to plan and adapt to the fact that we will have to possibly cut the night short and have a more "mellow" Monday as opposed to a love extravaganza.

4. Social media dedications
For all the serious couples, gal-entine friends, and complication-ships, now is your time for some clarity.
Not only do the people in relationships get to showcase their love, but we also find out how serious or public the relationship actually is. For everyone else, we get tons of entertainment.
One of the duo posting and the other not, people professing their love for one another and secret admirers sliding into the DMs.
Better yet we even get some people bidding for Valentine's dates. One listener shared her experience with us below:
5. Buying grown adults teddy bears
Let's get one thing straight - you are never too old to receive a teddy bear. We think it's really cute to receive this heart-warming gift from someone.
Not only is it relatively cheap and fun, but it's also a long-lasting gift that can be personalised in so many ways whether it's the look, clothing or embroidery.
