While many around South Africa plan their traditional weddings and special days to a tea, others are taking a different route by having cosplay weddings.

Cosplay has taken over KZN and many residents are discovering this awesome outlet for self-expression. 

Cosplay is "costume play" that is performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character.

A viral story has sparked this conversation. Ruby Guest and her partner, Kynthia, tied the knot in an outdoor World of Warcraft-themed ceremony.

We all know our local Durban Spider-Man who is also no stranger to dressing up and doing the most for the community.

Rather than using this "dress-up" as a shield or escape, he uses it as a symbol of strength and community.

This live-action art form is a ton of fun and we encourage people of all ages, ethnicities, shapes and sizes to join in.
