KZN is known for its varying and delicious Indian cuisine.
When Durbanites stumbled across this video on the net, they were anything but impressed.
A foreign influencer tried some Indian foods for the first time and called it "a life-changing experience". However, it went viral for all the wrong reasons.

In the video above, the food-fluencer is seen tasting some cold take-away dishes. "The unspoken rule is that you should always try out Indian food warm," according to one listener.
Moreover, she tries out a famous Indian snack - the samoosa. The influencer says: "Not sure what's in the middle but it's a little spicy." She's not wrong, BUT that it is spicy is what makes people love a samoosa even more.
She further angered desi-tiktok when she picked up a bowl of mutton biryani, praised the meat for being tender and flavourful, then said: "Mutton biryani has a very foreign taste and I love it." This comment rubbed people the wrong way.

One ECR Listener says: "The comment section was fruitful to say the least. One on hand it's awesome to see a tiktoker trying out a different type of cuisine however, the way that she went about explaining the food further emphasises the stigma that the Indian community faces."
