Being a student and operating on a tight budget can be tricky, especially when food inflation is skyrocketing unlike ever before. 

One man's mission to save some extra bucks has the people talking after he coined the 'one piece a day' method.

Frankly, it's as self-explanatory as it sounds, only eating one piece of meat a day.

The video captioned, "ResLife will humble you", is a prime example of student life in Mzansi. "Things are so expensive, it's tough out here. I will definitely try using this method," shares one user.

Using food strategically, this Jozi uni student chows only a drumstick of chicken along with a whole pot of pap.
