The 'PlaySafe' portal shares in detail how various body fluids are able to transmit Covid-19 from one person to another.
The website said:
What we do know for sure is that COVID-19 is transmitted via respiratory droplets ( mainly saliva) basically anything that sprays out of your mouth or nose). And having sex without sharing respiratory droplets is pretty hard.- NSW Health Website
'PlaySafe' also added that having sex with a partner who is living with you is safe.
The website continued and said:
If you're living with your partner sex is probably okay, as you are already sharing space and being in close quarters- NSW Health Website
Causal sex is strongly discouraged.
The organization shared that if people decided to have casual sex with someone whom they did not live under the safe roof with that they do the following:
Wear a three-layer mask to cover your nose and mouth at all times- NSW Health Website
1/5 Current evidence indicates there is a very low likelihood of contracting #COVID19 through semen or vaginal fluids. But, sexual activity with new partners does increase your risk of infection/spreading by close contact, like kissing.

'PlaySafe' also explained that mutual masturbation is likely the safest option, as long as it's done at a distance, of which they recommend being 'a minimum of 1.5 meters (apart) at all times'.
Consider wearing masks to minimise the risk of Covid-19 even further, or even take the fun online- NSW Health
Aussies aren't the only ones who have been asked to mask up while being intimate, Canadians have also been told to wear a face mask while having sex by the country's Chief Public Health Officer.
Dr. Theresa Tam said wearing a mask during intercourse and only kissing one regular partner would lower the chance of spreading or contracting Covid-19.
He also added and said:
Sexual health is an important part of our overall health. However, sex can be complicated in the time of COVID-19, Current evidence indicates there is a very low likelihood of contracting COVID-19 through semen or vaginal fluids.
