How would you feel if your boss requested you stand the entire day simply because it looks better?

Annie, a young woman on TikTok, went viral for posting a video where she explained that her boss implemented a workplace rule where employees are not allowed to sit because it makes them look bad.

Watch the video explaining how the events unfolded:

As heard in the video above, the boss proceeded to take all the chairs away and forced workers to stand for an eight-hour shift.

If you think all this is bizarre, it gets worse!

The boss also restricted the workers from using the restroom or their phones during work.

Although Annie decided to keep the name of the boss and company discreet, her video still managed to reach a whooping 290,000 views. Clearly people were invested in this absurd situation.

Annie stated that she didn’t have an issue with following this new, outrageous protocol but then she found out that this also applied during her breaks!

People were extremely shaken by this and the thought that any employer would treat anyone who works for the company in this manner, is completely insane and wild.

There are laws in place which prohibit treating workers unfairly or in an odd way because the famous saying goes, A happy worker is a productive worker”, so why would any employer go out their way to make the workplace extremely uncomfortable?
