A new study has revealed that millennials may be the most family-oriented generation in the last 50 years. Millennial parents are said to be changing the norm to raise healthier kids.

Now, lets be honest, millennials are known for many things, mainly based on stereotypes, but we can all agree that in general, the new generation is often seen as being irresponsible. When you think of family values, do millennial parents come to mind? If we are being honest, I think most of us despite our age would answer with a "no".

However, research and statistics by Working Mother Research Institute indicate that millennials, those born between 1981 and 1996, may be the most family-oriented generation in the last 50 years. Perhaps many of the younger generation haven’t bought into the kid-free, commitment-free lifestyle as much as it appears in the media.

JSbu, who is the proud father of baby Zanda, agrees with the above research. JSbu shares that he and his father, in particular, have a very different parenting styles and as much as he appreciates the way his father and mother brought him up, he feels that he would of benefitted from how he parents his son.

Family Life states that millennials are trying to do it better than previous generations did. Dads are said to be more likely to help around the house than previous generations as well, something that JSbu says he can attest to.

No parenting style is perfect and the saying, "each to their own", is very true. Each generation would do well to learn from one another, emotional support has been said to be the one quality that the youth wish their parents had focused on.

How different are you to how your parents parented you?
