It seems there is no stone that scammers will leave unturned.

We know from personal experience that scammers are out to get you. Just this past week East Coast Radio listeners were being scammed.

Especially if your vacation is set to take place at the magnificent Zimbali.

Here are some of the scam stories from KZN:

Zimbali is an extremely popular location because of the beautiful scenery, amazing ocean view and, of course, luxurious accommodations and resorts which are found.

This location is also associated with high-class and exclusive events, it’s almost like a mini Camps Bay.

Well, this story is about to blow your mind away and might even actually have you terrified at how crazy the world is becoming.

As we know, December is around the corner meaning many people have started to make bookings for certain locations and it makes sense because many destinations become booked out as the year ends.

A social media influencer Yavi Madurai was scammed after booking a resort in Zimbali for approximately R9,000.

This is not the only scam that has taken place, recently a young woman was scammed into thinking she received a job offer.

Callie Heim had received the great news that she was due to start her marketing career with Waymo however this was an extremely peculiar job because the requirements were that she had to purchase her own laptop and work phone.

That was initially a major red flag because almost every registered company gives you working resources.

The final red flag was when Callie received her job offer within 24 hours and thankfully, she managed to conclude that it’s a scam before losing large amounts of money like other people who were not very fortunate to figure out, they are being scammed.

Con artists have become extremely prominent in these times due to many reasons

There are many ways to identify scammers:

-        They are not registered with official co-operations

-        They are not registered with any legal authorities

-        They have a suspicious contact detail

-        They have many excuses for some inconveniences

-        They refuse to meet and connect in person

-        They usually work in groups

-        Everything usually happens very quickly

-        They will request payments as soon as possible

The best way to avoid being scammed is to always ensure that the entity is registered and never share your personal information with anyone at all.

Scammers will also ask you many personal questions so that they can analyze your mental state and figure out if there is a way to psychologically manipulate you into giving them money.
