Kelly Clarkson is definitely on the rise and things are looking amazing for her.

Clarkson's show has been a huge hit from the moment it started in September 2019, but the word around is that it could soon be replacing 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on the TV schedule, all because of a decline in viewer numbers.

After Ellen's ratings on her show fell by eight percent, TV bosses have been considering a change, even though she has just one year left on her lucrative contract. 

'The Kelly Clarkson Show' currently airs after 'Ellen', but has recently boomed and matched its long-time rival in terms of viewer numbers.

But apparently producers at Telepictures are determined to retain the time slot, regardless of whether Ellen extends her stay or not. Which might be tricky, because Ellen actually owns the rights to her show, meaning she can't be replaced without creating a fresh format with a new host. 

A source said: 

Clarkson, who rose to fame on 'American Idol' in 2002, thinks it's important to unite people from different backgrounds and with different outlooks.

She explained: 

Kelly admits being inspired by the likes of Ellen, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers.
