Do you think Itumeleng Khune should be suspended because of his actions?

He allegedly went partying the day before a match, leaving fans very disappointed in him.

The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper apparently went out to Moja Cafe with some of his friends for a night out and to quench his thirst. Unfortunately for him, the good time was recorded and posted on social media for everyone to see.

The timing of his fun night out left a lot of fans unhappy, even though some defended him by saying that he was well within his rights to have a good time out. Others bashed him for his behaviour, given the challenges currently facing Amakhosi.

What challenges you may ask?

Well, Chiefs have been struggling for positive results lately. They had just lost 4-0 to Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League. So when this video surfaced, it left a very sour taste for many.

What sticks out in the video clip is that some people are wearing masks, meaning this is a recent incident. It is also unclear yet if disciplinary measures will be taken against the veteran goalkeeper.

Surprisingly, Khune had reportedly already been banned from using social media excessively, so this incident could be detrimental for him and his Chiefs career.

He is not the only Chief to have been caught on camera partying during lockdown. In July 2020, Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung was caught on camera having the time of his life with friends at a house party.

Unfortunately for Motaung, he was handed a one-month suspension by the Chiefs board and resumed his duties in early September 2020.

Wait for it, because it doesn't end there.

Khune’s teammate at Bafana Bafana, Bongani Zungu, was also suspended by Scottish giants Rangers last month for the same offence.

Zungu then apologised and almost two weeks later he was allowed to rejoin his Rangers teammates.

Now the tricky question is, will Chiefs be brave enough to suspend Khune?
