This Chinese influencer "thought he was doing something" when he decided to eat a live wasp.
The video was posted to TikTok due to the adverse reaction he faced.

The video shows the influencer, known by the name Wang Can, holding a wasp with a pair of chopsticks, placing the creature in his mouth, then reacting abruptly as though in pain.
The video, which is no longer available to view, was originally posted to the Chinese video-sharing platform Douyin earlier this month, according to the South China Morning Post
Ultimately, he was met with major backlash and controversy for this wild act.

Other influencers went on a rampage and started mocking his "sausage lips".
"Although it is funny, I am afraid that others will imitate it. It's a pity," one comment said, according to a translation from Yandex.
Since the outcry, this influencer has "regretted his actions" and is looking to do more "positive and inspiring content".
