Great news, Durbanites!

It’s time to skip the long queues and add your Home Affairs trip to your shopping schedule.

That’s right, you can now ditch the long queues and renew your passport or finally get that Smart ID card sorted.

Simply head over to the -3 parking level where the Home Affairs branch will be situated below NuMetro.

The office officially opens its doors on Monday, 22 April, making it easier than ever to tick those essential errands off your list.

The operating hours for Home Affairs at The Pavilion are as follows:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 - 15:30.

The last Wednesday of every month: 09:00 - 15:30.

Ready to skip the queue? Don't forget to book your appointment online at https://services.dha.gov.za/.

Last year, Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi announced that select malls in the country will allow South Africans to get their passports and Smart IDs.

They pilot launched at Menlyn Mall and the department revealed that similar services would soon be available at Cresta Mall in Johannesburg, Tygervalley in Cape Town, and the Pavilion in Durban.
