James MacDougall is a 37-year-old male who was the sperm donor to lesbian couples.

This is a genetic disorder that leads to low IQ and developmental delay.

After James took to court to apply for parental responsibility and child arrangement orders for four of his children, despite having originally signed an agreement saying he didn’t want contact with some of his children, it was revealed that he has this disorder.

As one can imagine, the mothers of these kids were opposed to his application for visiting rights.

A series that has recently hit that charts on Netflix is 'Our Father', where a similar incident to the one described above occurs.

It is a documentary where it is shared that a fertility doctor was impregnating women with his sperm without their consent.

As the many offspring of Dr Donald Cline find out about their long-lost siblings, the unnerving truth spills out more and more along the way. The documentary evokes a wide range of emotions amongst viewers as it explores a half-horror, half-emotional victim narrative.
