Seeing as it is World Single's Awareness Day and also the day after Valentine's Day (ironic, right) we thought it was best to take a look at life in single file.

As the world advances, the expectations and pressures change.

Society seems to have taken "a chill pill" and the everyday drama we face when it comes to our love life is shifting.

The stigma that women need to have kids at a certain age and not end up as a spinster is slowly decreasing and the notion that men who live the life of a bachelor has a void that they need to be filled are changing.

One is no longer pressured into having kids in order to have a "fulfilling" or "successful" life. 

Putting yourself, your career, and ideals first is something to be proud of, as is wanting to have a family.

Although with kids comes great responsibility, you no longer think and live just for yourself anymore. 

Those moments when you have a mini heart attack when you forget to fetch your kid from school, pack them lunch or make something for the bake sale are all normal.

But there is one thing that we can all agree on: Being single is a luxury and not one we should take lightly. When you're single you have much more freedom.
