Donovan Tooth receives death threats after his rant aimed at “overweight” women

Last week, a video of a man identified as Donovan Tooth, who is a a fitness clothing brand owner, went viral and created a social media storm.

In the expletive video, Donovan is seen and heard in his car going on a long rant, calling out society's views on overweight women. Donovan starts off his video with the following: 

In the expletive-filled monologue, Donovan is heard fat-shaming women and speaking of them in a derogatory manner. 

Social media users were quick to identify him and called on the clothing brand, Panda Apparel SA, whom Donovan is the face of, to act decisively against him. 

Following the social media storm, the company issued a statement: 

In part, the company says that they offer their sincere apologies for the widespread hurt that was caused and an internal review process / disciplinary procedure has been initiated. 

In the meantime, Donovan Tooth has shared that he and his family have received death threats following the backlash of his actions. 

Donovan tooth has since deleted his video posts and issued an apology. 

He has also deleted all of his social media accounts. A Facebook group has been started named, 'Donovan Tooth Must fall', in which women across the country are coming together to voice their outrage against Donovan's utterances and how triggering his video posts have been.
