This article may be triggering or offensive to sensitive readers.
This viral story involving slavery, exploitation, and so many more issues has been ongoing for weeks. We have heard new allegations from various sources come to light, but have yet to hear a peep from the famous group at the center of it all, Die Antwoord.
Finally, in a Facebook post from 24 May 2022 at 19:39, they have responded to the allegations.

As stated in the feedback: "Due to Ninja & Yolandi's wild stage personas and psychologically penetrative music videos, Die Antwoord have been accused by their haters for just about every crime known to mankind."
Die Antwoord has faced a lot of controversy surrounding their adopted son, who says he was kept as a ‘child slave’.
The duo have mentioned that it was Ben Crossman, an ex-South African currently living in France, who orchestrated a social "attack" of slander against the individuals.
They mention that "Ben Crossman, who has had no direct contact with Die Antwoord or their daughter for years, recently went to the police in France and swore an affidavit stating that Ninja & Yolandi's teenage daughter was in danger and needed to be removed immediately from their care. Ben then contacted the South African Social Services and sent them his sworn affidavit."
They deny what has been said about them in the media and allege that Adriaan Basson, the editor-in-chief of News24, added to making this a "fake story".

Despite what information has been shared on the news, Die Antwoord state that "when Social Services visited Ninja, Yolandi, and their daughter, Sixteen Jones, they found that Sixteen was perfectly safe, that everything was cool, and that there was no need for concern."
They further go on to make allegations against their adopted son, Tokkie, and his motives being financially driven. They have also noted that they have always wanted what's best for their kids.
Moving forward, even though some people say the craziest things about us, we have no hate in our hearts towards them, just love and understanding. We wish peace on everyone in the world (our little hate club included) and we send our blessings out to everyone and hope they all find their way in time.- Die Antwoord
